Description

A comforting bake of succulent shrimp enveloped in garlic-infused butter, served over fluffy rice—a true family favorite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice (or brown rice)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter (or olive oil)
  • 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: cheese for topping

Instructions

  1. Thaw and clean the shrimp. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine the rice and broth, bring to a boil, then cover and simmer until the liquid is absorbed.
  3. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink, about 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Incorporate the cooked rice, lemon juice, herbs, and seasonings into the skillet.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish. Optionally, top with cheese. Bake for 15-20 minutes until hot and bubbly.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley or cilantro.

Notes

Avoid overcooking the shrimp to maintain tenderness. Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor.
