Description
Juicy pork chops seared to perfection in a rich garlic butter sauce, perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- Bone-in or boneless pork chops
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- Fresh thyme or rosemary, for garnish
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Bring the pork chops to room temperature and season generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and melt the butter until foamy. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds.
- Carefully place the pork chops in the skillet and sear each side for about 4-5 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Once flipped, add fresh herbs to the pan and baste the chops with the garlic butter.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure your pork reaches an internal temperature of 145°F. Remove from skillet and let rest for at least 5 minutes.
- Plate the pork chops, drizzle with the garlic-butter sauce, and garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute butter with olive oil. Chicken thighs can be used instead of pork for a different flavor.
