- 2 large eggs
- 1 tbsp red food coloring
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 oz cream cheese, cut into small chunks
- Powdered sugar for rolling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract and red food coloring.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chunks of cream cheese.
- Form the dough into balls and roll them in powdered sugar until coated.
- Place the dough balls on the baking sheets, leaving space for spreading. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes for thicker, fudgier cookies. Measure ingredients accurately for best results.
