  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp red food coloring
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 oz cream cheese, cut into small chunks
  • Powdered sugar for rolling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract and red food coloring.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chunks of cream cheese.
  7. Form the dough into balls and roll them in powdered sugar until coated.
  8. Place the dough balls on the baking sheets, leaving space for spreading. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
