Description

A comforting blend of crispy potatoes and melted cheese, bringing warmth and nostalgia to any table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium potatoes (Russets or Yukon Gold)
  • 1 cup cheese (cheddar, Gruyère, or mozzarella)
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • 2 tablespoons fresh herbs (parsley and chives)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the potatoes. Dice them into small, uniform cubes.
  2. Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced potatoes and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Introduce the chopped onions and garlic, cooking until the onions become translucent.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, and your chosen herbs, mixing well.
  5. Once the potatoes are fork-tender and crispy, stir in the cheese until it melts over the mixture.
  6. Cook for an additional few minutes until combined and gooey. Serve warm with a sprinkle of fresh herbs on top.

Notes

To avoid overcrowding, cook potatoes in batches if necessary. Adjust seasoning according to the saltiness of your cheese.
