Description
Delightful Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Sandwiches filled with creamy cheesecake and fresh strawberries, encased in a crispy, golden-brown crust.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz. softened cream cheese
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 cup diced fresh strawberries
- 4 slices thick bread (brioche or Texas toast)
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup whole milk (or almond/oat milk)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- Pinch of nutmeg
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until creamy and fold in the diced strawberries.
- Spread the cream cheese-strawberry mixture on one slice of bread, top with another slice to form a sandwich. Repeat for remaining slices.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk the eggs and milk together. In another dish, mix the breadcrumbs with cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, then dredge in the breadcrumb mixture until completely coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry each sandwich for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove and drain on paper towels. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying to avoid sogginess. Serve warm with extra strawberries and whipped cream.
