Description

Delicious Fried Apple Fritters with a crispy exterior and soft apple filling, perfect as a dessert or snack.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups diced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for serving

Instructions

  1. Peel, core, and dice apples into small pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, and vanilla, then mix into the dry ingredients.
  4. Gently fold in the diced apples.
  5. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep skillet.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Remove and drain on paper towels, then sprinkle with powdered sugar.
