Description
Delicious buttery biscuits filled with tender roast beef and served with a savory au jus for dipping.
Ingredients
Scale
- Biscuits (store-bought or homemade)
- Thinly sliced roast beef
- Au jus (homemade or store-bought)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Fresh or dried thyme
- Fresh or dried rosemary
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted (for brushing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
- If making homemade biscuits, combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs, then add milk and mix until combined. Knead gently and roll out before cutting into rounds.
- Place cut biscuits on a lined baking sheet, brush with melted butter, and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
- While biscuits are baking, warm sliced roast beef in a skillet over medium heat with minced garlic and herbs until fragrant.
- In a small saucepan, heat the broth over medium heat until simmering. Add soy sauce and seasonings to taste, let it simmer and reduce slightly.
- Assemble by splitting the warm biscuits, filling them with roast beef, and serving with au jus for dipping.
- Enjoy with loved ones!
Notes
For a vegetarian version, substitute roast beef with sautéed mushrooms or marinated tofu. Serve with a side salad for a balanced meal.
