A comforting and flavorful dish combining chicken and apple cider, perfect for gatherings or cozy dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs chicken thighs (bone-in preferred)
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme
  • 2 teaspoons fresh rosemary
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Sauté the onions and garlic in melted butter until soft and fragrant—about 3 minutes.
  2. Brown the chicken thighs, seasoned with salt and pepper, on both sides until golden—approximately 5–7 minutes per side.
  3. Deglaze the skillet with apple cider, scraping up browned bits; add thyme and rosemary.
  4. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes until chicken is cooked through at 165°F.
  5. Serve with the cider sauce and garnish with fresh herbs.

Notes

Serve over creamy mashed potatoes or crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
