- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch round cake pan and line with parchment paper.
- In a double boiler or a heatproof bowl, melt the dark chocolate and butter together until smooth and let cool slightly.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar together until pale and thickened.
- Fold the chocolate mixture into the egg and sugar mixture. Add vanilla extract and salt, mixing until just combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes until edges are set.
- Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then invert onto a plate and let cool completely before serving.
