Description

A delightful puff pastry filled with sweet figs and creamy goat cheese, perfect for appetizers or snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of puff pastry
  • 8 fresh figs, sliced
  • 4 oz goat cheese, crumbled
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary or thyme, chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick and cut it into squares or circles.
  3. In a small bowl, mix goat cheese, honey, and herbs.
  4. Place a small spoonful of the goat cheese mixture and a slice of fig in the center of each pastry piece.
  5. Fold the pastry over to seal the edges.
  6. Brush the tops with the egg wash.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a twist, substitute figs with pears or goat cheese with feta. Ensure the pastry stays cold for a flakier result.
