- 1 package of puff pastry
- 8 fresh figs, sliced
- 4 oz goat cheese, crumbled
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp fresh rosemary or thyme, chopped
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick and cut it into squares or circles.
- In a small bowl, mix goat cheese, honey, and herbs.
- Place a small spoonful of the goat cheese mixture and a slice of fig in the center of each pastry piece.
- Fold the pastry over to seal the edges.
- Brush the tops with the egg wash.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until crispy and golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For a twist, substitute figs with pears or goat cheese with feta. Ensure the pastry stays cold for a flakier result.
