Description

A heartwarming Eggnog Bread that captures the essence of the holiday season with hints of nutmeg, cinnamon, and a soft buttery crumb.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup eggnog
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in eggnog and melted butter.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for about 60-70 minutes.
  6. Check for doneness with a toothpick. Let cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

For a vegan variant, replace eggs with flax eggs or applesauce. You can also use whole wheat or gluten-free flour if desired.
