Description
Comforting and hearty steak bites made easily in a slow cooker, perfect for family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs steak (chuck roast or sirloin), cubed
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion (yellow or sweet), sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 cups mixed vegetables (mushrooms, bell peppers, carrots)
- Fresh herbs (parsley or thyme) for garnish
Instructions
- Cut your steak into bite-sized cubes, about one inch in size.
- In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Toss the steak cubes in this mix until evenly coated. Let it marinate for about 30 minutes.
- In a skillet, sauté sliced onions and your chosen vegetables over medium heat until softened slightly.
- In your slow cooker, add the sautéed vegetables to the bottom and layer the marinated steak cubes on top.
- Pour beef broth over everything, ensuring everything is well coated.
- Set your slow cooker on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, garnish with fresh herbs before serving and drizzle with the savory sauce.
Notes
Feel free to customize the vegetables based on your preference, and ensure not to overcrowd the slow cooker for even cooking.
