- 1 lb large uncooked shrimp, peeled
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup dry white wine (or chicken broth)
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- Melt the butter with olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, then add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink, then flip and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Pour in the white wine and let it simmer for 2 minutes.
- Stir in the lemon zest and juice, and add the red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat and stir in the fresh parsley.
- Serve immediately over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.
