- 1 head green cabbage, finely sliced
- 2 apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith), cored and sliced
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 1 cup carrots, grated
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Poppy seeds or nuts (for garnish)
Instructions
- Finely slice or shred the cabbage using a sharp knife or a food processor.
- Core and slice your apples, tossing them with lemon juice to prevent browning.
- Grate the carrots and add to the bowl.
- In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper.
- In a large bowl, combine the cabbage, apples, carrots, and cranberries, then pour the dressing over the top and fold gently.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving and garnish with poppy seeds or nuts.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for mayonnaise. Enjoy the dish fresh for the best texture.
