Ingredients
- Flatbread or pizza dough
- Mozzarella cheese
- Provolone cheese
- Hot honey
- Olive oil
- Fresh basil or thyme
- Optional toppings: sautéed mushrooms, roasted red peppers, caramelized onions, fresh arugula
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
- If making homemade dough, combine flour, water, yeast, salt, and olive oil in a bowl. Knead until smooth and let rise for about an hour.
- Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick.
- Par-bake the flatbread for about 5-7 minutes until just starting to turn golden.
- Remove from oven, add cheese and toppings, then drizzle with hot honey.
- Return to oven for another 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool for a minute before slicing and serve with extra hot honey and fresh herbs on the side.
