- 4 firm apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- Water (for baking)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Wash and core the apples, leaving the bottoms intact.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and lemon juice until smooth.
- Spoon the filling into each apple until overflowing.
- In a separate bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and a pinch of cinnamon; sprinkle over each apple.
- Place the apples in a baking dish and pour about an inch of water into the bottom.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15–20 minutes until apples are tender and golden.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce for added delight.
