Ingredients

- 4 chicken thighs or breasts
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried sage
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- Black pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Place the chicken in the crockpot and season with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, soy sauce, onion, garlic, thyme, sage, and black pepper until well blended.
- Pour the gravy mixture over the chicken, coating it well.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
- Shred the chicken if desired and mix back into the gravy. Serve hot over mashed potatoes or rice.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for the cream soup. Serve with steamed greens for added nutrition.
