Description

Delicious and flavorful fish tacos topped with a crispy feta crust, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb white fish (cod, tilapia, or salmon)
  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped
  • 8 taco shells or corn tortillas
  • 1 cup cabbage slaw
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • Fresh lime wedges

Instructions

  1. Pat the fish dry and lightly sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  2. In a bowl, combine crumbled feta, olive oil, cumin, paprika, and chopped herbs until it resembles a thick paste.
  3. Spread the feta mixture over the tops of the fish fillets, pressing it down gently.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the fish for 3–4 minutes on each side until the crust is golden brown.
  5. Warm taco shells in a separate pan or oven until soft.
  6. Break cooked fish into pieces and place in taco shells. Top with cabbage slaw, avocado, and a drizzle of lime juice.
  7. Serve with lime wedges on the side and enjoy!

Notes

For extra crunch, consider adding panko breadcrumbs to the feta mixture. Ensure the skillet is hot before cooking the fish for the best results.
