Description

Deliciously crispy chicken legs prepared with a combination of herbs and spices, baked to perfection without the need for deep frying.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken legs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme or rosemary
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Pat the chicken legs dry with paper towels.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and herbs. Toss the chicken legs to coat.
  4. Arrange chicken legs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, skin-side up.
  5. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes, until golden and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Notes

For extra crispiness, broil on high for the last few minutes—but watch closely to prevent burning.
