Description

A rich and creamy pork chop dish infused with the delightful flavors of peppercorns and fresh herbs, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 thick-cut bone-in pork chops
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons mixed peppercorns (black and green)
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 shallot, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 teaspoons fresh thyme or rosemary

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pork chops by seasoning with salt and pepper. Allow to sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  2. Sear the chops in a skillet with melted butter over medium-high heat for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  3. Create the sauce by removing the chops and sautéing shallots and garlic in the same skillet. Add broth and scrape the pan.
  4. Gradually stir in heavy cream to form a luscious sauce.
  5. Add coarsely crushed peppercorns and herbs, then serve over the pork chops.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute turkey or chicken chops. Use full-fat coconut milk for a dairy-free alternative.
