Description
A delightful and rich pasta dish featuring a creamy garlic sauce and a medley of fresh seafood, perfect for both family dinners and special occasions.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz fresh pasta (or dried pasta)
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 lb scallops
- 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh parsley or basil, for garnish
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: Spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, or asparagus
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente, reserving 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, then add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Add shrimp and scallops to the skillet, cooking until they turn opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
- Pour in the heavy cream and let the sauce simmer gently, thickening slightly. If too thick, stir in reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
- Toss in the cooked pasta, grated Parmesan, salt, and pepper, mixing until well combined.
- Garnish with fresh parsley or basil before serving.
- Serve warm with a side salad or crusty bread.
Notes
Keep an eye on the garlic to avoid burning, and adjust seafood types based on personal preference. For extra spice, add red pepper flakes.
