Description

A rich and creamy broccoli Alfredo ravioli dish perfect for a romantic night in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Fresh or frozen ravioli (cheese-stuffed or whole wheat)
  • Fresh broccoli florets
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Italian seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and blanch the broccoli florets for 2-3 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, cook the ravioli according to package instructions, usually 4-5 minutes for fresh ravioli. Reserve a cup of pasta water and drain.
  3. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat, add minced garlic, and sauté for about 30 seconds.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream, simmering until slightly thickened.
  5. Add the blanched broccoli and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
  6. Fold the cooked ravioli into the skillet and mix well to coat. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg before serving.

Notes

Garnish with freshly chopped parsley or additional Parmesan for presentation.
