Description

A delightful appetizer combining creamy cream cheese with fresh herbs and a crunchy coating of nuts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup fresh herbs (parsley, dill, or chives)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup nuts (almonds or pecans), crushed
  • 1/4 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese by letting it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese with your chosen herbs and garlic.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a sheet of wax paper and shape it into a log. Wrap it tightly to retain the shape.
  4. Unwrap the log and roll it in crushed nuts or additional herbs for a crunchy topping.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving to meld flavors and make slicing easier.
  6. Slice into rounds and serve with crackers, veggies, or bread.

Notes

For added flavor, consider mixing in sun-dried tomatoes or olives. Use a food processor for a smoother mixture, if desired.
