Description
A delightful appetizer combining creamy cream cheese with fresh herbs and a crunchy coating of nuts.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup fresh herbs (parsley, dill, or chives)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup nuts (almonds or pecans), crushed
- 1/4 cup sour cream
Instructions
- Soften the cream cheese by letting it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese with your chosen herbs and garlic.
- Transfer the mixture to a sheet of wax paper and shape it into a log. Wrap it tightly to retain the shape.
- Unwrap the log and roll it in crushed nuts or additional herbs for a crunchy topping.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving to meld flavors and make slicing easier.
- Slice into rounds and serve with crackers, veggies, or bread.
Notes
For added flavor, consider mixing in sun-dried tomatoes or olives. Use a food processor for a smoother mixture, if desired.
