Description
A delightful blend of tart cranberries and spicy jalapeños served on crispy crostini, perfect for festive gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 2 fresh jalapeños, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh herbs (cilantro or parsley), chopped
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 4 oz cream cheese (optional)
- 1 French baguette, sliced into ½-inch thick pieces
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Slice a French baguette into ½-inch thick slices, arrange them on a baking sheet, and brush both sides lightly with olive oil.
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- In a small skillet, add one tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the diced jalapeños and minced garlic until the jalapeños soften, approximately 3-4 minutes.
- In a food processor, combine the sautéed mixture with fresh cranberries, honey, and balsamic vinegar. Pulse until you achieve a desired consistency.
- Fold in finely chopped fresh herbs and a pinch of salt to taste.
- Spread a generous amount of the tapenade over the crostini. Top with additional herbs or a sprinkle of feta cheese if desired.
- Serve warm with a drizzle of balsamic glaze for added flavor.
Notes
Allow the tapenade to sit for a short while to let the flavors meld beautifully. Adjust the spiciness of jalapeños to your preference.
