Description

Deliciously vibrant tarts filled with a sweet-tangy cranberry and spicy jalapeño mixture, perfect for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 12 jalapeños, minced
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro or chives
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt, then cut in butter until resembling coarse crumbs. Add ice water and chill for 30 minutes.
  3. Mix cream cheese, minced jalapeños, cranberries, and sugar in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Roll out chilled dough to 1/8-inch thickness, cut out circles, and place in tart pans.
  5. Fill with cranberry-jalapeño mixture and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Cool slightly and serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Feel free to adjust jalapeño levels for spice preference; add red pepper flakes for extra kick.
