Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Cube the bread and let it dry out for a few hours or overnight.
  2. Sauté Aromatics: Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onions and celery until golden, about 5-7 minutes. Add apples and cook for another 3-5 minutes.
  3. Mix in Herbs and Cranberries: Stir in herbs, cranberries, and season with salt and pepper. Cook for an additional few minutes.
  4. Combine with Bread: In a large bowl, mix the sautéed mixture with the dried bread cubes. Add enough broth to moisten the stuffing, folding gently.
  5. Bake: Transfer to a greased casserole dish and bake uncovered at 350°F (175°C) for 30-40 minutes until golden brown.
