- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 2–3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Toasted almonds or pecans (optional), for topping
Instructions
- Trim the ends of the green beans and rinse them in cool water. Set aside.
- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Stir in the green beans, coating them in the garlic butter, and cook for 5-7 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Season with salt and freshly cracked black pepper, then toss to combine.
- Remove from heat and top with toasted nuts if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For a lighter option, substitute butter with olive oil. Keep an eye on the beans to avoid overcooking them.
