- 4 bell peppers (red, yellow, or green)
- 1 cup lump crab meat
- 1 cup shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
- 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- Olive oil for sautéing
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: cheese for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds. Lightly brush the outsides with olive oil.
- Sauté shrimp in a skillet with olive oil for 3-4 minutes until pink, then let cool.
- In a large bowl, combine shrimp, crab meat, cream cheese, herbs, and spices. Stir until well mixed.
- Spoon the filling into each bell pepper, topping with cheese if desired.
- Place the peppers in a baking dish, cover with foil, and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes until tender.
- Let cool slightly before serving and drizzle with fresh lemon juice.
Notes
For added texture, consider adding breadcrumbs to the filling. Use fresh herbs for best flavor.
