Description

Delicious mint chocolate chip cookies that feel like a warm hug on a frosty day, coated in powdered sugar.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon mint extract
  • 1 cup mint chocolate chips
  • Optional: Chopped nuts (like pecans or walnuts)
  • Optional: Sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Gradually add the mint extract and mix until combined.
  4. Sift in the all-purpose flour and mix until no flour streaks remain.
  5. Fold in the mint chocolate chips and nuts if using.
  6. Using a cookie scoop or two spoons, drop dough onto the prepared baking sheets, about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges just begin to turn golden.
  8. Cool on sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar once cooled.

Notes

For extra flavor, try chilling the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking.
