Cozy Cinnamon Swirl Yogurt Bread

Description

A rich and moist bread with swirls of cinnamon sugar, perfect for breakfast or as a snack.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup plain yogurt (or Greek yogurt)
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (or oil)
  • 1/2 cup milk (whole or low-fat)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix flour, sugars, baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon until well blended.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together yogurt, eggs, melted butter, and milk until smooth.
  5. Slowly add dry ingredients into wet mixture and stir just until combined.
  6. Pour half the batter into the loaf pan and sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar over it. Repeat with the remaining batter and cinnamon sugar.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for smoother mixing. Allow the bread to cool completely before slicing for better cuts.
