Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless chicken tenderloins
  • 2 cups cornflakes, crushed
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup hot honey
  • Cooking oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) or heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat if frying.
  2. Prepare three bowls: one with beaten eggs, the second with crushed cornflakes mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, and the third with flour (if using).
  3. Coat each chicken tender in flour (if using), then dip in the beaten eggs, allowing excess to drip off. Press into the cornflake mixture until fully covered. Repeat for all tenders.
  4. If baking, arrange coated chicken on a greased baking sheet, drizzle lightly with oil, and bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. If frying, add tenders to the hot oil, cooking in batches for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden and crispy, then drain on paper towels.
  6. Drizzle hot honey generously over the hot tenders and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra crunch, double-coat the chicken by repeating the egg and cornflake steps. Adjust seasoning for spice preference.
