Description

Delicious churros paired with creamy vanilla ice cream, topped with a chocolate drizzle for the ultimate summer treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for dough)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (for dough)
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1/2 cup sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (for coating)
  • Vanilla ice cream
  • Chocolate syrup (optional)
  • Caramel sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the churro dough by combining water, butter, and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until melted and bubbling.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in flour, baking powder, and cinnamon until a cohesive dough forms.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time until the mixture is smooth.
  4. Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Pipe long strips of dough into the hot oil, cutting them off with scissors, and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Drain churros on paper towels and roll in a cinnamon-sugar mix while still warm.
  7. Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream on top or on the side, drizzled with chocolate or caramel sauce if desired.

Notes

Fry churros in batches to maintain the oil temperature for the best results.
