Description

Delightful holiday treats that capture the joy of the season, made with cake, frosting, and colorful candy melts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box of cake mix (vanilla, chocolate, or red velvet)
  • 1 cup buttercream frosting (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 cups green candy melts
  • Skewers or lollipop sticks
  • Decorations (edible glitter, sprinkles, mini candies)

Instructions

  1. Bake the cake according to package directions or your favorite recipe. Allow to cool completely.
  2. Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl.
  3. Gradually mix in frosting until the mixture holds together.
  4. Roll small amounts into 1-inch balls and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  5. Melt the green candy melts according to package instructions.
  6. Dip the tip of each lollipop stick in melted candy and insert into each cake ball.
  7. Fully dip each cake pop in melted candy, allowing excess to drip off.
  8. Decorate with sprinkles before the coating sets.
  9. Let set and serve on a festive platter.

Notes

Ensure pops are chilled before dipping to retain shape and make coating easier. Feel free to experiment with flavors by adding extracts.
