- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 lb breakfast sausage
- 1/4 cup fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh thyme, chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg, beaten
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the sausage, then drain excess grease.
- Combine the cooked sausage with chopped herbs and shredded cheese in a bowl.
- Unroll the crescent dough and lay it in a circle, overlapping slightly.
- At the junction of the dough triangles, spoon a generous amount of the sausage mixture and fold over to seal.
- Brush the wreath with beaten egg and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and extra herbs.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving warm.
