Description

Delightful layers of chocolatey goodness and creamy frosting topped with festive sprinkles, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (or almond flour for gluten-free)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup frosting (cream cheese or buttercream)
  • Sprinkles for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Optionally, line with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine butter and chocolate. Melt in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Stir in granulated and brown sugars until combined.
  4. Incorporate eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold into the chocolate mixture until just combined.
  6. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared dish and bake for about 15 minutes until edges are set.
  7. Drizzle caramel sauce over the brownie layer and spread remaining batter on top, swirling for a marbled effect.
  8. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. While cooling, prepare your frosting.
  10. Once cooled, frost generously and top with sprinkles.
  11. Slice and serve at room temperature or refrigerate for a firmer texture.

Notes

Let the brownies cool completely for clean cuts and to prevent melting the frosting.
