  • 1 cup Provolone Cheese (shredded)
  • 1 cup Mushrooms (button, cremini, or shiitake)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • Fresh Basil (for garnish)
  • Fresh Oregano (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sourdough Dough: If using homemade dough, allow it to rest and rise. If using store-bought dough, follow the package instructions.
  2. Sauté the Mushrooms: In a skillet, warm the olive oil over medium heat. Add your cleaned mushrooms and sauté until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Add garlic during the last minute.
  3. Roll Out Your Dough: On a floured surface, stretch out the sourdough into a rectangle about ½ inch thick.
  4. Assemble Your Roll-Ups: Evenly distribute the sautéed mushrooms across the dough, followed by cheese and fresh herbs.
  5. Roll it Up: Carefully roll the dough starting from one end to the other, pinching the edges.
  6. Slice and Bake: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the roll into pieces and place on a greased baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
