- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ cup powdered sugar (for rolling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Mix in eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Roll the dough into small balls and coat them in powdered sugar.
- Place on a lined baking sheet, leaving space between each ball.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For best results, do not skip the chilling step to prevent the cookies from spreading too much.
