A rich, velvety Chocolate Truffle Cake that creates sweet memories and brings family together.
Ingredients

- 8 oz dark chocolate (about 70% cocoa)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream (for ganache)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch round cake pan.
- Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a heatproof bowl over simmering water, stirring gently.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until light and frothy.
- Once the chocolate mixture cools slightly, fold it into the egg mixture gently.
- Sift in the flour and vanilla extract, and fold until just combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before moving it to a wire rack.
- Prepare the ganache by melting chocolate and heavy cream together until smooth, then pour it over the cake.
- Let the cake set for at least an hour before slicing.
Notes
Best served with vanilla ice cream or fresh berries. Can be frozen for up to three months.
