- 1/2 cup brown sugar

- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips or jam
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream the butter and sugars together until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla until well combined.
- Whisk the flour and cocoa powder, then slowly incorporate into the butter mixture.
- If the dough is sticky, refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Scoop tablespoons of dough, roll into balls, and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Press a thumbprint into the center of each ball.
- Fill the thumbprints with chocolate chips or jam.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are set but centers remain slightly soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
