  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  2. Slowly whisk in the cocoa powder and salt until well combined.
  3. Gradually add the flour, mixing until just combined.
  4. Shape the dough into a disc, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 60 minutes.
  5. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Roll the chilled dough on a floured surface to about 1/4-inch thickness and cut out heart shapes.
  7. Place cookies on lined baking sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  8. Allow to cool, then drizzle with melted chocolate or sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
