Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: Mix dry ingredients together in one bowl and wet ingredients in another. Gradually combine until just mixed.
- Chill: Wrap dough in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Shape the Donuts: Roll out dough to about 1/2 inch thick and cut out shapes using a donut cutter.
- Fill: Flatten a small piece of dough, place a spoonful of peanut butter and a few chocolate chips in the center, and seal with another piece of dough.
- Fry or Bake: Heat oil to 350°F and fry until golden, or bake at 375°F for 10-12 minutes.
- Finish: Dust with powdered sugar while warm and serve immediately.
Notes
For a healthier option, consider baking instead of frying and using whole wheat flour for added fiber. You can use dark chocolate for extra richness.
