Ingredients

Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until combined.
- In another bowl, beat the egg and mix in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Slowly pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips, reserving a few to sprinkle on top while cooking.
- Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
- Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes, then flip and cook until golden brown, 1-2 minutes more.
- Stack the pancakes, drizzle with maple syrup, and serve warm with your choice of toppings.
