Description
Delicious and buttery chocolate chip blondies that bring joy and warmth to any occasion, reminiscent of family traditions.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line an 8-inch square baking dish.
- Melt the unsalted butter in a saucepan over low heat, then let it cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, ensuring everything is well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips evenly throughout the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the blondies to cool in the dish for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
For chewier blondies, do not overbake. Consider adding extra chocolate chips or a sprinkle of sea salt on top before baking for an extra special treat.
