- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 2 cups almond milk
- 2 tablespoons chia seeds
- 1–2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- ½ cup Greek yogurt
- 1 to 1½ cups chopped cherries (fresh or frozen)
- Maple syrup or honey, to taste
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the oats, almond milk, chia seeds, and cocoa powder. Stir until well mixed.
- Fold in the Greek yogurt for added creaminess.
- Add the chopped cherries, sweetening with maple syrup or honey to taste.
- Mix thoroughly and transfer to jars or airtight containers.
- Refrigerate overnight (or at least 4 hours) to allow oats to absorb the liquid.
- In the morning, stir and top with additional cherries, chocolate chips, or nuts as desired.
Notes
For a unique twist, try adding a sprinkle of cinnamon or a dash of vanilla extract. Pair with nut butter or fresh fruit for added flavor.
