Description

A delicious and nutritious breakfast featuring old-fashioned oats, cherries, and cocoa, perfectly softened overnight.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 2 cups almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 12 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 to cups chopped cherries (fresh or frozen)
  • Maple syrup or honey, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the oats, almond milk, chia seeds, and cocoa powder. Stir until well mixed.
  2. Fold in the Greek yogurt for added creaminess.
  3. Add the chopped cherries, sweetening with maple syrup or honey to taste.
  4. Mix thoroughly and transfer to jars or airtight containers.
  5. Refrigerate overnight (or at least 4 hours) to allow oats to absorb the liquid.
  6. In the morning, stir and top with additional cherries, chocolate chips, or nuts as desired.

Notes

For a unique twist, try adding a sprinkle of cinnamon or a dash of vanilla extract. Pair with nut butter or fresh fruit for added flavor.
