  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup Halloween-themed decorations (sprinkles, chocolate spiders, marshmallow ghosts)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the softened butter with sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
  6. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients with the milk, starting and ending with the dry ingredients.
  7. Divide the batter between the pans and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  8. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Frost with chocolate frosting and decorate with Halloween-themed items.
