Description

A delightful dessert combining flaky pastry, rich chocolate custard, and sweet bananas for an irresistible treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package puff pastry (thawed)
  • 2 cups chocolate custard (made from scratch or store-bought)
  • 2 ripe bananas (sliced)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • Whipped cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into rectangles (4×2 inches).
  3. Use a fork to poke holes in each rectangle.
  4. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden and puffed.
  5. While the pastry cools, prepare the chocolate custard.
  6. Slice each piece of baked pastry horizontally to create two layers.
  7. Assemble by layering chocolate custard, banana slices, and another layer of custard between two pastry pieces.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar and add whipped cream if desired.

Notes

For gluten-free options, use gluten-free puff pastry. For dairy-free, substitute chocolate custard with a plant-based version or coconut cream.
