Description

A warm and comforting dish combining marinated chicken and fresh broccoli, served over a bed of rice or quinoa.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless chicken (breast or thighs)
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Optional vegetables (carrots, bell peppers, snap peas)
  • 2 cups cooked rice or quinoa
  • Sliced green onions for garnish
  • Toasted sesame seeds for garnish
  • Red pepper flakes for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken in soy sauce, garlic, and sesame oil for 15-30 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  3. Add the marinated chicken and cook until golden brown and no longer pink (5-7 minutes).
  4. Toss in the broccoli and any additional veggies, cooking for another 3-5 minutes.
  5. Add a splash of soy sauce and honey, stirring to coat the ingredients.
  6. Serve over rice or quinoa, garnishing with sesame seeds and green onions.
  7. Sprinkle red pepper flakes for added kick, if desired.

Notes

For variety, substitute chicken with tofu or shrimp, and adjust the cooking time as needed.
