Description

Fun and delicious Cheesy Halloween Breadstick Bones that bring joy to your Halloween traditions.


Ingredients

  • 1 store-bought pizza dough or homemade dough
  • 4 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 4 oz cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 tsp garlic powder or 2 cloves fresh minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp fresh oregano or basil (or 1 tsp dried herbs)
  • 1 egg and a splash of milk for egg wash

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. If using store-bought dough, let it sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes.
  3. Divide dough into equal pieces and roll each into a long strip, tapering the ends.
  4. Make a small incision in the center of each strip and insert half an ounce of cheese, then pinch closed.
  5. Brush with egg wash on top.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving with marinara or garlic dipping sauce.

Notes

Feel free to substitute cheeses and experiment with flavors. Whole wheat flour can enhance nutrition.
