Description

Delightful chocolate hearts infused with crushed candy canes, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups quality dark chocolate (at least 60% cocoa)
  • 1/2 cup candy canes, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Pinch of sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep your baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine dark chocolate and butter. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring until melted and smooth.
  3. While chocolate melts, crush candy canes in a zip-top bag using a rolling pin.
  4. Once melted, stir in half of the crushed candy canes and a pinch of sea salt.
  5. Mold the hearts by pouring a small amount of the chocolate mixture into heart-shaped cavities and topping with the remaining crushed candy canes.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes until solidified.
  7. Remove from the mold and pack beautifully for gifting or serving.

Notes

Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor. Can substitute with dairy-free chocolate for a vegan version.
