- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for buttercream)
- 1/4 cup milk (for buttercream)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the butter and granulated sugar together until fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually combine the wet and dry ingredients without over-mixing.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- For buttercream, mix softened butter with powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until fluffy.
- Frost the completely cooled bars and slice into squares for serving.
