  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for buttercream)
  • 1/4 cup milk (for buttercream)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the butter and granulated sugar together until fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually combine the wet and dry ingredients without over-mixing.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  9. For buttercream, mix softened butter with powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until fluffy.
  10. Frost the completely cooled bars and slice into squares for serving.
